DMEM/F-12 medium, without glutamine
DMEM Ham’s F12 medium are a mixture of DMEM and F-12 media in 1:1 ratio. The DMEM/F-12 medium is used for the culture of a wide range of cells. It has excellent performance for pancreatic, certain epithelial, endothelial and granulose cell types. It can be used as a basic media for producing many serum free media.
DMEM/F-12 is a mixture of inorganic salts, amino acids, vitamins, glucose and phenolic red dissolved in purified water, sterilized through filters with a pore size of 0.1 microns.
Without Antibiotics.
This product is intended for research purposes.
- Appearance: clear, red-orange solution, without opalescence and sediment.
- pH: 7.0 to 7.4
- Osmolarity: 300±20 mOsm/kg
- Buffer capacity: at least 3.7 ml
PURPOSE: is used for cultivation of a wide range of animal and human cells. Suitable for cultivation of attached cells.
PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS: Before use, add 162.2 mg of sterile L-glutamine to a bottle with medium (500 ml). Manipulate the product in aseptic conditions.
HOW SUPPLIED: in sterile wide neck plastic bottle of 500 ml.
SHELF LIFE: 1 year.
STORAGE: +2 to +8 °C in a place protected from light.
RECOMMENDED USE:
- Do not use the product after its expiry date.
- Use gloves, mask and clothes adapted to the manipulation of the product to avoid contamination.
- Manipulate the product in aseptic conditions.
- Supplements such as antibiotics or L-Glutamine should be added as sterile supplements to the ready medium.
- Medium should be clear and free of opalescence and sediment.
