F-10 medium, without glutamine
Ham's F10 medium is used with dialysed serum, hormones, selenium and other supplements for serum-free cultures. It is the medium for supporting the growth of cells of rodent origin, particularly rabbit and rat and has proved to be an excellent cloning medium for the culture of myeloma and hybrid cells.
The medium is a mixture of inorganic salts, amino acids, vitamins, glucose and phenolic red dissolved in purified water, sterilized by filtration through filters with pore size of 0.22 microns.

This product is intended for research purposes.
- Appearance: clear, salmon-pink solution, without opalescence and sediment.
- pH: 7.3±0.2
- Osmolarity: 300±20 mOsm/kg
- Buffer capacity: at least 1.8 ml
PURPOSE: is used for serum-free culture of a wide range of animal and human cells.
PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS: Before use, add 146 mg of dry sterile L-glutamine to a bottle with medium (450 ml). Manipulate the product in aseptic conditions.
HOW SUPPLIED: in sterile plastic bottle of 450 ml.
SHELF LIFE: 1 year.
STORAGE: +2 to +8 °C in a place protected from light.
RECOMMENDED USE:
- Do not use the product after its expiry date.
- Use gloves, mask and clothes adapted to the manipulation of the product to avoid contamination.
- Manipulate the product in aseptic conditions.
- Supplements such as antibiotics or L-Glutamine should be added as sterile supplements to the ready medium.
- Medium should be clear and free of opalescence and sediment.
