PDGF-BB is a growth factor, belongs to the platelet growth factors family. All four factors of the family are mitogenic factors for mesenchymal origin cells and are characterized by presence of motifs of eight cysteine residues. Platelet factor can be in two forms: as PDGF-BB homodimer and as PDGF-AB heterodimer, where dimers are connected by disulfide bridges. Mutation in this gene is associated with meningioma development. Two ways of splicing have been described for this gene.
This product is intended for research purposes.
Human recombinant PDGF is produced by E. coli and consists of 2x109 amino acid residues.
Lyophilized from concentrated PBS solution, pH 7.4.
Molecular weight is 24.3 kDa.
The purity was determined chromatographically and by electrophoresis in polyacrylamide gel, it is 95%.
The preparation should be dissolved in 18MΩ-cm water, at concentration of at least 100 mcg/ml. After that further dilution and separation to desired aliquots is permissible.
The dry preparation is stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, longer storage is permissible at -18℃.
The diluted solution should be stored at temperature of 4℃ for 2-7 days, for longer storage use freezing -18℃.
Do not allow repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
