Penicillin-Streptomycin, 100-x solution sterile
The Penicillin-Streptomycin is effective abtibiotic against a wide range of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, and is used for the prevention of bacterial contamination of cell cultures.
Mechanism of antibiotics action: streptomycin inhibits protein biosynthesis, penicillin inhibits cell wall synthesis.
The recommended working concentration for cell culture is 10 ml/l (from the 100-x solution).
This product is intended for research purposes.
Formulation:
- Penicillin-5000 units/ml
- Streptomycin-5000 µg/ml
- Solvent - 0.9% NaCl
HOW SUPPLIED: in sterile glass or PET bottle of 10 ml.
SHELF LIFE: 2 year.
STORAGE CONDITIONS: -10 to -20 °C in a place protected from light.
RECOMMENDED USE:
- Do not use the product after its expiry date.
- Use gloves, mask and clothes adapted to the manipulation of the product to avoid contamination.
- Manipulate the product in aseptic conditions.
