IGF-2 is produced by E. Coli, non-glycosylated polypiptide consisting of 67 amino acids.
Molecular weight is 7,505 kDa.
IGF-2 was lyophilized from sterile solution with 0.1 % of trifluoroacetic acid.
The purity was determined by electrophoresis in polyacrylamide gel (SDS-PAGE) and not less than 95.0%.
Lyophilized IGF-2 should be dissolved in sterile 18MΩ-cm water, at concentration of at least 100mcg/ml. This solution should be divided into aliquots for preparation of other solutions.
Despite the fact that lyophilized IGF-2 can be stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, store the dry preparation at -18oC. The IGF-2 solution is stored in the refrigerator 2-8oC for 2-7 days, for longer storage - in the freezer at-18oC. For long-term storage add carrier protein (0.15 HSA or BSA).
Repeated freezing and thawing is not allowed.
