Trypsin-EDTA 0.05% solution with Hanks salts
Trypsin is a porcine pancreas-derived enzyme that is commonly used for the dissociation and disaggregation of anchorage-dependent mammalian cells and tissues. The concentration of trypsin necessary to dislodge cells from their substrate is dependent primarily on the cell type and the age of the culture.
Solution of trypsin (0.05%), EDTA (0.53 mmol) and inorganic salts in purified water, sterilized through filters with pore size of 0.1 microns. Calcium and magnesium salts free.
Antibiotics-free.
This product is intended for research purposes.
- Appearance: clear liquid, without opalescence and sediment.
- pH: 7.1 - 7.5
- Osmolarity: 300±20 mOsm/kg
- Buffer capacity: at least 1.5 ml
PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS: Ready to use. Manipulate the product in aseptic conditions.
HOW SUPPLIED: in sterile plastic wide neck bottle of 100 ml.
STORAGE CONDITIONS AND SHELF LIFE:
- 6 month: +2 to +8 °C in a place protected from light.
- 1 year: -10 to -20 °C.
RECOMMENDED USE:
- Do not use the product after its expiry date.
- Use gloves, mask and clothes adapted to the manipulation of the product to avoid contamination.
- Manipulate the product in aseptic conditions.
- Solution should be clear and free of opalescence and sediment.
