Gentamicin, 1000× lyophilizate, sterile, 50 mg
An aminoglycoside antibiotic. It penetrates the bacterial cell membrane and binds irreversibly to the 30S ribosomal subunit, inhibiting protein synthesis. Intended to prevent bacterial contamination during cell culture work. Active against a broad range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including mycoplasmas. May be used when establishing primary cell cultures.
ACTIVE INGREDIENT: Gentamicin sulfate.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE: Pronounced antimicrobial activity at a concentration of 50 µg/ml;
SHELF LIFE: 2 years at 2–8°C;
STORAGE CONDITIONS: Store at +2 to +8°C, protected from light. When diluting the antibiotic in culture medium, avoid exposure to UV radiation and high temperatures.
