Concanavalin A (ConA)
Concanavalin A, a mannose/glucose-binding lectin isolated from Jack beans (Canavalia ensiformis), is a well-known T cell mitogen that can activate the immune system, recruit lymphocytes and elicit cytokine production. In addition to its mitogenic activity, ConA can induce programmed cell death via mitochondria-mediated apoptosis and autophagy.
This product is intended for research purposes.
HOW SUPPLIED: in glass bottle of 10 ml.
STORAGE: +2 to +8 °C in a place protected from light.
RECOMMENDED USE:
- Do not use the product after its expiry date.
- Use gloves, mask and clothes adapted to the manipulation of the product to avoid contamination.
- Manipulate the product in aseptic conditions.
