IVF 1 media

IVF 1 media are intended for handling gametes and embryos. These procedures fall into four areas:

Sperm preparation: media such as IVF 1 Spermoprep are used for sperm washing, selection of motile sperm and storage of viable sperm before ICSI.
Oocyte aspiration and preparation: IVF 1 Ooklin and Aspiration media are used to aspirate oocytes from follicles and wash blood and granulosa cells from cumulus–oocyte complexes.
Fertilization: media in this group support fertilization and short-term embryo culture. IVF 1 Universal is suitable for fertilization and initial embryo culture up to the two-cell stage, and can also be used for ICSI.
ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection): alongside Universal medium, specialized media such as IVF 1 PVP are used during sperm injection.
